I think of a lifebook as the story of the child, so I started it with what we know about her birth and first year in China, what adoption means, the story of her coming into our family, etc. I finished it with the photo of her at home with us. It's been a great way to encourage discussion of her adoption story, and it helped me get more comfortable talking with her about some of the tough subjects. I bought a couple great books about writing lifebooks and relied heavily on them! (I haven't done Will's yet, but I need to get going on it.) Then I do a little scrapbook at the end of each year to highlight what happened for them during the year. . . stats from the pediatrician, favorite artwork, photos, etc. I try to keep up with the blog because that's where I get most of my info for the album. (obviously I'm failing in that department lately!) Good luck!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15877911785700607534noreply@blogger.com
